To be honest, the question makes no real sense and trying to derive an answer with the choices given makes even less sense. Back in the bleak years of our country's growing stage, yes there was an a period when slavery seemed to be acceptable. And as horrible that that was, it was not a concern to the ';owners of slaves'; what their marital status was with another slave. they where bought and sold as we do cows now days, a simple commodity. your list....................................鈥?br>

A: meant that states made slave marriages legal as a control mechanism? Not likely, they had no legal rights, none.

B:it made it highly unstable for blacks because of the internal slave trade? again they had no rights whatsoever so any argument they had or will ever have at that point in time is moot.

C: it made white (there were other people of different color and race as well as black that had a hand in this horrible place in history, just to be clear) encourage slave marriages? as pointed out before, at that time, they were considered as ';stock'; we still practice today the breeding of the cows and pigs to make them the best genetically profitable/ product that they can be thus being more valuable to the owner, and sadly, to enhance his/hers trade price.

D: it led to the creation of africain american ';kindship'; networks.

I must assume you mean ';kin ship'; . What do you think? what if you and a few of your fellow humans (not thinking about the skin color), were suddenly sucked up by an alien spaceship? would you, if possible try to hang together? I'm sure you would. you would hang with those you know , can relate with, and try to figure out what you need to do to live.

We as a people have for the most part, have grown beyond the past and have applied what we have learned to never let it happen again, either here in this country (USA) or any place on earth.Yes there are still jerks and *******, but there are more of us that will always remember.
