If the Defense of Marriage Act is overturned, what does that imply for state governments and businesses?

Will they be forces to recognize LGBT marriages and treat them equal to real marriages? If the Defense of Marriage Act is overturned, what does that imply for state governments and businesses?
Yes. Just like the Supreme court decision in Loving v Virginia overruled miscegenation laws that banned interracial marriages in remaining US States. Just like Lawrence v Texas overruled state laws that still had sodomy (same sex relations by 2 consenting adults in the privacy of their homes) on the books

The feds would have to honor what the states recognize as unions for citizens of their states, for gay %26amp; straight couples. No more federal government picking %26amp; choosing which state sanctioned/recognized relationships get the federal benefits of marriage

Is it going to happen anytime soon? No. In our lifetimes %26amp; hopefully before I die so my family can get the federal benefits I earned from IRS, social security, %26amp; Veterans Affairs?

I sincerely hope so.If the Defense of Marriage Act is overturned, what does that imply for state governments and businesses?
it wouldn't mean anything for businesses, other state's might have to recognize other state's marriages but they wouldn't' have to perform them. by the way the dedication between two gay people is just as real as anyone else's
They would, however it's very unlikely that it will be overturned any time soon.
