What are your views on gay and lesbian marriages and adoption of children within the marriage?

I am writting a paper and I need to have different opinion so that I can write a well written paper.

Thank youWhat are your views on gay and lesbian marriages and adoption of children within the marriage?
How about, why not??

i dont even see why this is an issue.. two men, two women, one man, one woman.. its all fluid, and no different to each other..

I would question the motives of people who want to have babies sometimes, seeing as some women are just spouting out more and more kids, without a second thought to their welfare..

But if two, or even one respectable, mature adult wants to have or look after a child of their own... why not.. its not even a big deal.

Same as marriage.

i only wish everyone else thought this way..What are your views on gay and lesbian marriages and adoption of children within the marriage?
Gay marriage doesn't effect me and I really don't have an opinion on it. These same people who choose to live together will still be at the same functions as my family. The fact that they are married or not doesn't change the fact that they are gay and in public. It's not like people are marked with a big red M on their chest when they are married.

As far as adoption that can be trickier. Bringing a child into a family that doesn't fit ';the norm'; may not be fair to the child. The child is growing up with a stigma and label from the start. Everything is always different for them. (mother's day, father's day, daddy and me day, mommy and me day etc etc.) There are lots of childrent that are born into the world to horrible parents. As long as the child has a happy, stable life then whatever.
good question, in my opinion I don't think tha there is something wrong with being gay/lesbian/bisexual, it's all a matter of sexual preference. People shouldn't judge others based on their sexual preference. You personal sexual preference doesnt determine who you are or doesnt make who you are. The only thing that matters is what makes them happy. I don't think that there isn't anything wrong with adopting a baby or if a baby grows up in a gay couple. People don't make themselves gay, they are born with that. For example, people believe that if a baby grows up with a gay couple, the baby will be gay. I don't think that this is the case, if the baby is gay then no matter the environment he will be gay. As far as letting gay couples get marry I don't have a problem with that, people need to leave them alone and don't judge them based on their sexual preference.
I'm gay. I'm married. So that pretty much covers my stance on that. As for adoption, I think it's utterly sick that religious adoption agencies refuse gay people as adoptive parents. These children are unhappy, in care, away from a stable family home. Two guys, two girls or one of each, they all supply a perfectly stable home and anyone who shows evidence to the contrary is probably called something like The Family Research Unit and is heavily funded by right-wing Christian organisations and largely based on deliberately massaged or skewed figures.

It's fine, somehow, for children to be raised by single parents, but not by two parents of the same sex?! Why's that? No, it's clearly simply the misguided opinions of such organisations who read too much into Lev 20:13 and 18:22 to form their own opinions.

Let the children suffer, then. That'll please good old Yahweh, won't it.
Love makes a relationship. Love raises a child.

I have known several gay/lesbian couples and singles that have raised children either through adoption or because family situations have forced it on them. In each case it would have made no difference whatsoever whether or not these people had been straight or gay. The telling factors were the love and commitment that these people did or did not have towards the children they were raising.
Heavens above !!

This is really simple. Regardless of whatever modern society dictates, and all of those do-gooder's, this is dead simple:

A child needs the role models of a father figure and a mother figure to develop.

That is why nature has made it that a man and a woman together make babies.

Man/man don't make babies, woman/woman don't make babies.

Ever wondered what is wrong with the young of today? Why are they so rebellious and confrontational? There is more often that not no father figure in their life - no more 'Head of the household' to look up to.

Children need a mother and father, end of story!
it's actualy illegel to be gay and adopt. But i dont agree with it. I just did a term paper for my english class about gay rights, and adoption was in there.

My opinion is that we should all be able to have kids. Imagine how many kids dont have homes. If gay people adopted like they wanted to, foster homes and orphanages wouldn't be as full...
It shouldn't matter what gender anyone is or what their sexual preference is. Everyone should have the right to get married and adopt if they so wish. What right does anyone else have to tell anyone that they can't do that?
im all for gay/lesbian couples being parents.

as well as gays/lesbians being able to marry.

love is love.

forget about gender.
scientifically, there is no dif to the childs welbeing if the child is raised by hetro or homo parents. so on those grounds i think its ok!
Every human being has a right to do what they choose.
Well it should be up to the kids decision
I think it's a great idea, It would be discriminatory not to let them don't you think?
As a christian, I think that homosexuals adopting or having children is the ultimate slap in God's face.
