How to prove our marriage legally to immigration canada?

My wife is sponsoring her parents for a family class immigration and I'm co-signing the application, but the checklist says that I have to include a marriage certificate, and we only have a non Canadian marriage certificate and I'm not sure if I can present that as a proof of marriage! Any Ideas? How to prove our marriage legally to immigration canada?
That should be sufficient for proof of marriage. Generally, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) will recognize a marriage that took place outside of Canada if the marriage:

* Is legal according to the laws of the place where it occurred; and

* Complies with Canada 's federal laws on marriage.

Look it up in the CIC manual, I believe it is sections 5.28-5.30

Now if you happened to marry your sister when she was 10, don't expect Canada to recognize it as being legal! lolHow to prove our marriage legally to immigration canada?
A marriage certificate is a marriage certificate - whether you were married in Canada or Italy %26amp; anywhere in between. If they feel strongly enough about it, they can always have the records checked in the city that issued the certificate....at least I would think. No matter what, it is still a legal document recognized by the non-Canadian country you were married in, so I would think that Canada would recognize it as valid also.

Good luck
yes you need to prove that you are married to your wife

a marriage certificate is more than sufficient. NO MATTER where you got married - as long as it is legal in the country where you got married.
