Well... when the question is left up to the voters, they vote against Homosexual marriage.





The 4 States that allow Homosexual marriage were not given the opportunity to vote against it. It took liberal judges to legislate from the bench.

They will try to overturn it but it will take years, according to Iowa procedures. That isn't a good sign for the anti-gay marriage crowd. By then the citizens will be used to it and can see all the slippery slope stuff they are afraid of will have not happened. Similar thing as Massachusetts.





I'm happy for gay people, it's about time that states are lining up now to allow it. I think they were just waiting the five years that have gone by to see if Massachusetts experienced any problems. They have not!
Iowa is a traditional leader in progressive civil rights. If the religious right wants to flock there and make it a battleground - they'll lose.
