Is it mandatory to do court marriage once it is registered?

if we submit docs and what if we are not able to reach the concern place at that date and time? Is there any particular span after submitting docs within which we can marry rather than that same date and time? if we are not able to reach concern place will court send any docs to our native place?





What should we do to to avoid arrival of any court marriage related docs from court to my girls place?

Under Special Marriage Act you need to give notice to the marriage officer according to your territorial jurisdiction. After you give notice of your intention to get married the marriage officer is to conduct an inquiry with regard to few things like both of you should not be already married-- your age-- residential proof authenticity and other hings like that. So, legally cops are bound to do inspection at your girls house and also yours.





Only after he is satisfied under the inquiry which is practically done by the police of your residential area, only then you are given date for solemnisation of marriage before marriage officer-- that is why it is ';court marriage';.
It depends what state you are in. Usually they have a limit between 30 to 60 days. They don't send you anything in the mail unless you request a certified copy of the marriage license be sent to you. So once you file the papers, you have to come back with an officiant within the time limit, yes.
There is no specific date prescribed, but a specific period is prescribed for marriage under Special Marriage Act read with Registration Act. The period is generally of 60 days after expiry of notice period of 30 days.





After lodging of notice of marriage with the sub-registrar or registrar of marriage, generally no communication is sent to either bride or bride groom.
