How does your relationship with your best friends change after marriage?

once you get married and you and all your best friends now live in different parts of the country, how does that change your friendship.

do you still feel just as attached once you have a spouse and kids? or does the friendship take a back seat to some extent? How does your relationship with your best friends change after marriage?
actually I've recently been observing a group of boys like 4-6 years old and one of them was with girl (his friend) so the acting of the other boys was the similar as acting of your unmarried friends after you get married. How does your relationship with your best friends change after marriage?
The friendship definately takes a backseat. When you have kids, your priorities change drastically, as they should. But, if you are friends and you can count on eachother to be honest about things then the only change should be that your childern come before your spouse, your spouse before your friend. Philosophy of Life accourding to the letter F: Faith, Family, Finances, Friends.
Unfortunately the friendship does take the back seat. We all grow up thinking we'll have our BFF's forever but it never works out that way. Marriage brings commitment and friendship on a different level and although you may still keep in contact with your old friends and you still can be close but the sad truth is you will never have that same friendship you once had.

The upside of course is you get a new great life long friendship with your marriage mate :)
